Which wall to panel in a living room
Pick the wall your eye lands on first when you walk in. In most homes that is the sofa wall or the TV wall.
Avoid walls broken up by doors, windows and an air conditioner, because the panel layout gets chopped into small pieces. A clean, uninterrupted wall of 10 ft or more gives the best result. If the living and dining areas share one long wall, panelling the whole length ties the two together.

Wall panel sizes for a living room
Measure the wall width and height and send us both. Marble-look sheets are 8 x 4 ft, so a 9 to 10 ft ceiling needs a planned joint or a border. Fluted panels are joined side by side, so the width is flexible.
Wall panels with lights
Ceiling spots placed close to a fluted wall throw light down the grooves and bring out the texture. LED profile lights between panels add a clean line of light. Plan both before fixing.
Sofa height and breaks
If you want a horizontal break or a ledge, set it above the sofa back, not behind it. A band hidden behind cushions is wasted.
Air conditioner and curtains
Mark the AC unit, its pipe and the curtain pelmet on the layout. Panels should stop cleanly at these, not be notched around them afterwards.
Skirting and edges
Decide how the panel meets the floor. A slim skirting or a metal profile protects the bottom edge from mops and gives a finished line.
Fixing over paint
A dry, flat painted wall is ready for panels once loose paint is scraped. On an uneven wall, use a frame or ply backing so long panel lines stay straight.
