UFC Gym, Mumbai — Wudonn D-2 Fluted Wall Panels

A commercial fit-out where the reception and corridor walls were clad in Wudonn D-2 fluted WPC panels in a warm walnut finish, turning plain partition walls into a warm, branded arrival space.

The brief

Gym receptions take a beating. They are high-traffic, humid from the training floor, and they are the first thing a member sees when they walk in. UFC Gym needed a wall finish for the reception and corridor that would look premium, survive daily wear and moisture, and go up quickly without shutting the space down for long.

Why Wudonn D-2

We specified Wudonn D-2 fluted WPC panels in a warm walnut finish. The vertical fluting adds height and rhythm to a corridor, and the warm wood tone softens what is otherwise a hard, equipment-heavy environment. Being WPC, the panels are moisture and termite resistant, so the humidity coming off the training floor is not a problem, and the surface wipes clean.

The panels are cut to size and fixed directly to the existing wall, so there was no demolition, no wet work and no long curing time, which kept disruption to the gym to a minimum.

The reception now reads as a designed, branded space rather than a painted partition. The warm walnut fluting carries through from the entrance into the corridor, framing the glazed UFC Gym signage and giving the arrival sequence a consistent, premium feel, in a finish that is built to handle a busy commercial gym.
