Return & Refund Policy

At Urbane Decor, every product is carefully inspected for quality and packed securely before dispatch. We follow a defective-items-only return policy as outlined below.
Returns
We accept returns only for items that arrive defective, damaged, or incorrect. We do not accept returns for change of mind, buyer's remorse, or general dissatisfaction where the item matches the listing description.
A product is considered defective if:
- It arrives broken, cracked, chipped, or otherwise physically damaged.
- It is materially different from the product described or pictured in the listing (wrong colour, wrong size, wrong item).
- It has a manufacturing defect that affects its intended use.
Minor variations in colour, finish, or texture due to monitor/screen differences or natural material properties are not considered defects.
Time Window for Reporting Defects
You must notify us of any defect within 14 days of delivery. Claims submitted after this window cannot be accepted.
To report a defect, email mhdecollp@gmail.com with:
- Your order number
- A clear description of the defect
- Photographs of the item and the original packaging (at least 2–3 images)
Return Method
Approved returns are accepted by post / courier only. Once your claim is approved, we will share return instructions and the return address. Please do not ship items back before receiving written approval, as unauthorised returns cannot be processed.
Return Shipping
- For defective, damaged, or incorrect items: Return shipping is free. We will arrange a reverse pickup or reimburse standard shipping costs on submission of a valid receipt.
- For any other returns: Not applicable — non-defective returns are not accepted.
Restocking Fee
We do not charge a restocking fee on approved defective returns. You will receive a full refund of the item price.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will notify you of the outcome:
- Approved: Your refund will be processed to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.
- Not approved: If the item is found not to be defective, we will return the item to you at our cost and no refund will be issued.
Original shipping charges are refunded only when the return is due to our error (wrong, damaged, or defective item shipped).
Exchanges
We do not offer exchanges at this time. If you received a defective item and would like a replacement of the same product, please mention this in your defect report and we will do our best to accommodate, subject to stock availability.
Non-Returnable Items
The following are not eligible for return under any circumstance:
- Items damaged due to misuse, mishandling, or improper care after delivery.
- Items with removed or tampered tags or packaging.
- Customised, personalised, or made-to-order items (unless defective on arrival).
- Clearance or final-sale items.
